電纜識別儀是一種專用電纜識別儀器。是目前國內電纜識別儀器中技術*、性能*的新型D電纜識別儀器。電纜識別儀由信號發生器和接收鉗信號檢測器及指示表三部分組成，信號發生器主要產生特殊的脈沖調制信號，通過輸出線加至停止運行的被測電纜上，用接收鉗在現場尋找被測電纜，當接收鉗檢測器測到施加在電纜上特殊信號時，信號檢測器上電表指針與施加信號頻率同步擺動，而其它電纜線上檢測到的信號則要小很多且方向相反，通過電表指示幅度及方向，很容易判定被測電纜。
